Hollywood Monster provided the graphics for the stage backdrop used during the Shopping Centre festive lights switch on.

Thousands of excited pop-fans recently descended on Westfield London’s The Atrium development (19th Nov) to watch pop superstar Mariah Carey switch on the Christmas lights. Produced by Westfield London’s in-house event team the diva drew the biggest crowd ever seen at the mall for an event.

Thousands of fans, who had been queuing for hours outside the Shepherds Bush based shopping venue packed the venue to the rafters.

Working in partnership with Westfield’s event team, Hollywood Monster received the brief late on the Tuesday night prior to the event and by Wednesday morning were already on site doing the installation. This project is further evidence of the company’s strong recent experience of supporting Shopping Centre events and celebrity launch occasions with high quality signage, graphics and performance backdrops.

Talking about the project, Simon McKenzie, Commercial Director for London and the South East said: “We were approached very late in the day to do this job and had to put a production team on late to get the job output in time ready for installation the next morning. Once again, we are delighted to be working with Westfield up and down the country to support their events and make their Shopping Centres stand out with high quality branding and signage solutions. The visit of Mariah Carey was an exceptional event that we are pleased to be part of.”

Hollywood Monster sponsors charity gathering of over 100 leading West Midlands based office property agents

25 Nov 2009 | Leave a Comment |

Executives from the company recently attended an Annual Charity Drinking Event hosted at The Metro Bar in Birmingham on the 12th November organised by the Office Agents Society.
Hollywood Monster were one of five main companies supporting the event, sponsoring its very own beer pump for the night and making a donation directly to the charity chosen by the OAS.
The principal aim of the OAS is to promote knowledge and expertise amongst office agents across the UK. This is achieved through the organisation of regular events, seminars, lectures and educational tours. Currently the Society has around 1,000 members nationwide and over 150 members in the West Midlands.
The event represented a great opportunity to witness OAS committee members embarrassing themselves whilst assisting Metro staff behind the bar, catch-up with the latest market gossip and have a quiet drink with the best of the Midlands property community.
Talking about the event, Managing Director Tim Andrews said, “We are already working with a lot of the agents who are active members of the OAS so when we were approached to be a main sponsor it seemed to make perfect sense. A lot of the agents have had a rough ride of late coming through the recession so an event like this is great to lift people’s spirits and get things kick started again. We look forward to being a pro-active partner to the OAS and supporting whatever else they have planned over the coming months”.

HOLLYWOOD MONSTER ANNOUNCES THE INSTALLATION OF A GIANT NEW BANNER ON LONDON’S LARGEST PURPOSE-BUILT HOTEL DEVELOPMENT

Leading Midlands Signage and Graphics Company Hollywood Monster has just completed the installation of a giant 22 x 9 metre Contravision large format window graphic onto the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London hotel development located on the vibrant South Bank, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
The window graphic which can be clearly seen from all approaches took two days to install by an abseiling team and is made up of 44 3 x 1.5 metre one way vision film panels directly applied to the hotel’s glass window atrium frontage.
The banner has been specially manufactured and installed to allow light into the building and a view through the atrium for those viewing the inside of the building, despite the presence of the film panelling.
The new development is set to open in early 2010 and will be London’s largest new-build hotel opening in generations, offering 1,021 guest rooms, 2,700 sq m of meeting space, a signature restaurant and a luxury spa.
Commenting on the window graphic, Simon Mckenzie, Hollywood Monster’s Commercial Director for London and the South East, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by Park Plaza Hotels to install this giant new window graphic.  This is evidence again of the company’s ability to tackle large format, complicated installations on some of the UK’s most prominent buildings.”
Laurence Markham, Marketing Director for Park Plaza Westminster Bridge also commented: “The impact that the window graphic has produced has been significant and surpassed our initial expectations.  It’s vital for a hotel development of this scale that we and our partners GC Project Management and Galliard Homes can communicate when it will be opening and the Hollywood Monster window graphic achieves that perfectly”.
