Hollywood Monster Mascot At Edwards Trust 25th Anniversary

On Saturday 25th January, Birmingham bereavement charity Edward’s Trust, launched their 25th Anniversary year with a very special tea party at St George’s Church, Edgbaston. We were proud to have our big, friendly mascot represent Hollywood Monster during the fundraising.

Packed with local community members and service users Edward’s Trust brought supporters together to enjoy a great afternoon, raising funds to support bereaved families throughout Birmingham. Afternoon tea was served in beautiful Betty Rose Vintage China, while pianist Philip Amie played some favourite tunes. Special thanks go to HSBC, Hollywood Monster, Jas Sansi Photography and Tyndalwoods solicitors who all helped to make the event a huge success.

Edward’s Trust staff showcased the fantastic work that they do and inspired others to fundraise for them.

Each year it costs approximately £500,000 for Edward’s Trust staff to support over 500 new  families who have been bereaved…

On average in the West Midlands, 668 babies are stillborn or die before their 1st birthday, 260 children aged 1-19 die as a result of illness or accidents, and 2,080 children are bereaved of a parent. The support that Edward’s Trust provides is vital in helping bereaved families rebuild their shattered lives and live with their loss.

If you are a runner you can raise funds by joining Team 25 in the 2014 Birmingham half Marathon or take part in the Great Midlands Fun Run. Abseiling is planned for the summer and there are golf days taking place in May and June. The highlight of the year will be the fabulous Ball on 20th September.
