Heart of England Bike Ride – British Heart Foundation

The Knowle & Dorriage Lions 10th annual bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation and local causes took place on Sunday 19th July. Hollywood monster were proud to sponsor this event and send down the Hollywood Monster to cheer the cyclists along.

Almost 700 cyclists, including our very own Nick Fellows, joined and rode up to 31 miles from Packwood House, Lapworth.

Friends, family and colleagues all joined to enjoy the friendly, fun atmosphere whilst raising money for a great cause at the same time. “This was our Club’s 10th annual ride, the fourth Heart of England bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation and local causes. We took almost £5,000 on the day from late entrants, but it is too early to guess how much the event will raise”, said organiser Lion Paul Wheatley. “We hope our riders will collect their sponsorship quickly now and we shall exceed last year’s £18,000 raised, and pass the £100,000 target raised for charity in 10 years.”

After the ride, everyone enjoyed the Lions hog roast and views of the National Trust property and gardens – an all round great day for all!
