Birmingham Signage company Hollywood Monster has today confirmed the successful completion of the final works outstanding in the supply and installation of over £250,000 of new signage, media and graphics within Merry Hill’s new £24 million Eat Central Food Court development opening tomorrow.

TV Chef James Martin will be in the Black Country tomorrow to officially open the new Eat Central dining experience that features a 1,200 seat food court, boasting 16 eateries and two restaurants.  The restaurants include Pizza Express, and Chinese Restaurant Yangtze Express.  The eateries feature Zetao Noodles and Sushi, British Restaurant Harpers and Italian Eatery Napoli. Other names that are also present include Nandos, Nineteen Ten, Mexican Kitchen, Hey Potato, Oporto, Tiffinbites and KFC.

Hollywood Monster were instructed in the Summer to provide an extensive amount of state of the art signage and media including :

·         Restaurant wayfinding and direction signage
·        Themed totems
·         Built up 3D and profile letters
·         Ceiling Hung Banners
·         Window vinyl’s and graphics
·         Digitally printed mimic granite wall cladding panels

It has involved the installation of over 500 individual sign and media pieces, involving  the employment of over 1000 man hours in production and installation time. At least one installation team has been on site every week for the past couple of months overseeing the installation and advising on appropriate signage solutions.

The development creates 200 new retail jobs within the venue on top of the 150 jobs created during the construction phase. It also creates a new entrance to the centre and car park.

Speaking about the project, Managing Director Tim Andrews said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen to provide all of the signage and graphics requirements within the new food court.  This new development offers a significant extension to the existing centre and some very high profile eatery outlets.  The project has featured a complicated and extensive array of new signage and banner features throughout the venue.  Our team has proved once again that when a complicated and high quality requirement is requested, they are ready, willing and able to provide only the best quality in signage and graphics installations.  As with many jobs we have recently won and installed, I am immensely proud of our efforts and the strides we are continually taking to service our expanding client base”.

Emma Hindes, Merry Hill centre manager, said: “We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved in making Eat Central a reality and we’re confident our customers will enjoy the new culinary experience and international flavours on offer.  Hollywood Monster have done a truly fantastic job in theming the new venue which looks absolutely fantastic.  We can’t fault them in their effort and attention to detail, another top job”.
