Hollywood Monster show their support for the 6th Solihull & Warwickshire Bikeathon

On Sunday 10 July 2011, five hundred and fifty five keen sports men, women, boys and girls came together in aid of the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Bikeathon.

The day of the challenge was blessed with glorious sunshine and the participants had the option of cycling 10, 16 or 28 miles along the many beautiful quiet country lanes that lie within the Solihull and Warwickshire region, passing through picturesque country villages and local country pubs.

Tim Andrews, Managing Director of Hollywood Monster, showed his support by sponsoring the event and provided all directional signage, barrier covers and banners. As an added bonus, the Hollywood Monster mascot also made a special guest appearance entertaining both children and adults at this family event in aid of a very worthy cause.

The charity, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, was established in 1960 and is still the only national research charity devoted exclusively to leukaemia, the lymphomas, myeloma, aplastic anaemia, myelodysplasia, the myeloproliferative disorders and the related blood disorders in both children and adults.

The organisers behind this event are the Knowle and Dorridge Lions, a friendly and active group of men and women who come from all walks of life, all united to give some of their free time to support their local community.
