'Monster' signage at new westfield site

Westfield (Stratford City developments) commissioned Hollywood Monster to develop a scheme for the advertising of new office space on the site of Olympic Park, Westfield Stratford’s new shopping centre, due for launch in September 2011.

The shopping centre will be the largest of its kind in Europe, with over 300 retailers and 60 restaurants, a combined space of 1.9 million sq feet. This is Westfield’s second scheme in London in the last three years, since the launch of Westfield London in October 2009.

As the site is still under construction, Hollywood Monster had restricted access, due to many of the roadways beneath the offices being laid. This meant that we had to utilise our abseiling team, a group of 8, in order to install two graphics, a total of 900 sqm, 55m from the ground, over one weekend. The graphics were printed on a semi translucent vinyl using Hollywood Monster’s UV Vutek flat bed, and took two days to print from start to finish.
