Monster support for Fabrice Muamba

Sunday 25th March 2012 saw BCFC meet Cardiff City at a Birmingham home game where they drew. For HM it was an opportunity to also show our support and best wishes for Fabrice Muamba who suffered a cardiac arrest whilst playing for Bolton in the FA cup match against Tottenham.

The Hollywood Monster made banner was taken on the pitch before the start of the game in support of Fabrice who is in critical condition in hospital. We at HM are joining the many fans in rooting for his speedy recovery. The club, its management, players and around 18,000 fans had a one minute’s applause for him before the game.

Fabrice Muamba holds a special place in the BCFC supporters’ hearts; he played at BCFC in 2007 on a loan spell having played for Arsenal previously. He made more than 70 appearances for BCFC and made his England under-21 debut while with the team. In 2008, he joined his present club Bolton Wanderers , he has played almost 150 times for them.

Tim Andrews, Managing director at Hollywood Monster had this to say:

“Fabrice lived next door to me in Kew and would always have a smile on his face to greet you! He was humble and gracious, never forgetting where he came from and the journey to success”

Our thoughts and prayers are with his fiancée and family. “ Get Well Soon Fab!”
