The Hollywood Monster Runs Away With Event Signage

Alongside the event signage manufactured by Hollywood Monster, the Monster mascot took to the streets of Birmingham this weekend by running in the Bupa Great Birmingham Run.

The monster joined the 15000 strong field in aid of Edwards Trust. Edwards Trust is a fantastic charity helping people from West Midlands, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire areas

The organisation offers:

  • Support and counselling for anyone affected by the death of a child aged 18 or under (however the death has occurred)
  • Support and counselling to any parent affected by the death of their own child (whatever the age of their child)
  • Support and counselling for children aged 4 – 18 years who are bereaved of a sibling, parent or significant carer

Nick Owen and Julie Walters are Ambassadors to the charity

Unfortunately our real Monster was not available to run the race as he was recovering from Friday’s Help Harry Help

Others Charity Ball, and so Phil Mckenzie donned the costume and ran the hilly course, completing it in 4 hours which represents a huge achievement, furthermore raising over £500 for the charity.

Phil chose the charity after using the support services of Edwards Trust following the death of his son earlier this year. Phil commented ‘I was so impressed and thankful for the help the charity gave to Tammy and myself earlier this year, I felt that I should do something to help re-pay the great support we received from the Edwards Trust’

Phil received much support from the public for his endeavours, having to stop many times for the admiring Birmingham public to pose for photographs
